The Path: A Journey Through the Bible

Chapter Two: The Sign of the Covenant

There is nothing tame about this week’s lesson of The Path! Sibling rivalry, murder, a catastrophic flood, and egos running amok are all part of Chapter 2, The Sign of the Covenant.

These are stories of real humans with very real problems. Sound familiar? Cain and Abel’s story is the first of many stories in the Bible about sibling conflicts. Why do you think that might be? Some portray the story of Noah as a children’s story, but there are some disturbing parts to the story. How could the same God who destroyed the earth with a flood make a covenant with those who survived?  In what ways are we as a people trying to ‘make a name for ourselves’ as the people in The Tower of Babel tried to do? How do you think our story might end? Bring your questions and join us!
