After the Twelve Days of Christmas… Come and Celebrate Epiphany at St. John’s!
Wednesday, January 6, at 7pm
Just as Easter is a fifty-day feast that ends with the day of Pentecost, Christmas is a twelve-day feast that ends with Epiphany: the celebration of the revealing of Christ’s identity as the Savior of the world. This day principally marks the moment when the wise men arrive bringing gifts, but the celebration refers also to two other moments in Jesus’ life when his cosmic status was plainly seen: the rending of the heavens at his baptism and the terrifying brilliance of the Transfiguration. Join us in marking the end of a joyous season!
